Is there any action required on my part?
No. We’ve worked closely with Policygenius to ensure a seamless hand-off. Your coverage remains active and your current premium is unchanged. We’ve even handled the heavy lifting with your insurance carrier to ensure they know Matic is your new agency of record.
Does this change my premium or my coverage?
No. Your current policy remains exactly as it was. Your coverage limits, deductibles, and premium rates stay the same for the remainder of your current term.
What if my policy renews soon?
Carriers periodically adjust rates at renewal — this is standard across the industry and has nothing to do with your transition to Matic. If you receive a renewal notice with a premium increase, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re happy to review your options and re-shop your policy if needed.
What if I have a life insurance policy with Policygenius?
Your life insurance policy is staying right where it is. Policygenius is focusing their efforts on their core life insurance business, so they will continue to be your agency for life, disability, or related coverage. This transition to Matic only applies to your property and casualty policies (like home, auto, flood, or umbrella).
What if I have an active help request with the Policygenius team?
Our teams have coordinated closely to ensure a smooth hand-off. If you had an open request regarding one of your property and casualty insurance policies, the Matic team has that information and is ready to pick up where you left off. How do I access my policy documents?
You can still log in directly to your insurance carrier’s website (e.g., Safeco, Progressive, etc.) to view your ID cards or declarations page. Additionally, since Matic is now your agency of record, we have your policy information on file and can help you with additional documentation you need.
